Whether producing for Finnish Grammy winning Hip-Hop-artists like Paperi T, performing with modern Scandinavian techno output Jesse or living the studio life in Los Angeles working with labels like Cash Money and artists such as Lil Bibby, Gashi and Deniro Farrar, Tomorrow producer trio members Kalifornia Keke, Pike & Rosewood have seen the arc of Hip-hop build during their 20 year careers. From their beloved Dj Shadow classic “Entroducing” to modern trap of Young Thug, for the first time they are able to implement the entire journey of influences to cater to their own artistic drive on this cutting edge instrumental hip-hop album.
Sonically Visions spans 11 tracks, and possesses a northern minimalist vibe blended with saucey progressive rap rhythms. Samplers, Moog synths, live guitars, and the climate of Helsinki Archipelago, provides an end result that is cool, calm and collected, like an icepick drip on an up north island. Visions is indeed completely recorded on their home court, at the renowned Suomenlinnan studio, on an island located in front of Helsinki in a historical 19th century building.
Northern cool calm, 20 years of work in the game, hitting rhythms and modern experiments. Tomorrow knows they are sitting on a one of a kind recipe, it is a mixture that makes Visions an essential forward-thinking instrumental hip-hop moment for the modern era.
